One of the most fundamental skills needed to be truly sustainable and resilient during tough times on our homesteads and farms is the ability to save seeds. Whoever controls the food controls the people, and whoever controls the seed supply controls the food supply. So our freedom is very closely tied to our ability to produce and save seeds within our own community. Today I am excited to share with you an incredible interview with experienced seed saver, Craig Schaaf, who is a homesteader and market gardener that lives totally off-grid with his family in northern Michigan. Craig shares with us some of the basics of seed saving and practical tips on how we can get started.
